Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set in a world overrun by private military companies (PMCs), wars are no longer fought over nations or ideologies. Kojima Grumbles For Rumble News

In an interview with one UK publication, the Metal Gear Solid 4 director admits that he misses the rumble feature in Sixaxis...


Sony's decision not to utilise rumble technology in the PlayStation3's Sixaxis controller is well-documented, but it seems that even noted game developers hope for its inclusion at some point in the future.

In an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine UK, Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima spoke about how he missed the rumble feature, and how he hopes that it'll return. Kojima-san also confirmed that whilst his current project, Metal Gear Solid 4, will utilise Sixaxis motion control functionality, he admitted to not knowing how it will be integrated into the game's control system...something of a worry if motion control is to feel like a fully formed part of the final game, and not just a tacked on frivolous feature...

Expected to be released on PlayStation3 during 2007, we'll have more news on Kojima's fourth MGS title in the coming months...

I'm a little confused. Was Mr. Kojima going to end his highly acclaimed MGS franchise with the grand finale of having Solid Snake ascend up into heaven in a flying Porshe? Very interesting.

This is a prime example of developers blaming someone/something else for their short falls. For an example of a great looking game that relied on superb programming (and not a super computer) you only have to look at Half Life 2. I wish these lazy ... [ Read full comment... ]

I dont really care how good it looks as long as it plays well.I think the best in the series is Solid on ps1.it plays great and and has a great story.stick to that and all is well in my book.Besides it will hit the 360 in a year or two.lol.be well al... [ Read full comment... ]

again.... it doesn't matter what console you use, its up to the developers to bring the goods...After all, what good is an xbox or ps3 if the games are no good. Stop arguing about which console is best, and just enjoy the games

besides haze, killzone 2, R2, FF, and many more ps3 just sucks....jp ..... ps3 is gonna win this year
360 is a little baby compared to the ps3 and which get sick more often ..
