Koei Confirms September Release For Samurai Sequel News

Samurai Warriors 2 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation2 set for release in Europe at the start of the Autumn...
Having already released the first Dynasty Warriors title for Xbox 360 earlier in 2006, Koei has today confirmed that Samurai Warriors 2 will also be heading for Microsoft's next-gen platform (and PlayStation2) during September 2006.
Featuring a number of upgrades over its predecessor, including a triple-Musou Gauge for multiple-special abilities, Samurai Warriors 2 will also see ten new warriors enter the fold, and new character-specific abilities such as laying traps and decoys. A new mode in Sugoroku, based on a traditional Japanese strategy game, will also be included in the sequel, together with multiplayer gameplay via Xbox Live.
It seems that the 'Warriors' bandwagon will just keep on rolling on over the course of the next-gen platform life-cycles; we'll have more news shortly...
