Samurai Warriors: State of War is announced by Koei ahead of an end of March ...
Koei has today confirmed a release date of March 24th for Samurai Warriors: State of War on PSP. The game, a tactical action title set during feudal Japan, sees players take control of a range of Japanese commanders from the time period in an new story for the PSP. Players will be able to choose from six playable commanders at the start of the game, though these swell as more are unlocked as progress is made. Up to 200 Bodyguards, which act as second-in-command, are available to choose from, helping players through the battlefield and unleashing attack moves exclusive to the PSP.
Following in the footsteps of Koei's other Far Eastern epic battle title, Dynasty Warriors PSP, State of War will provide gamers with both short-term and long-term playing options by breaking the larger battlefields up into smaller more manageable areas.
Finally, Samurai Warriors will feature multiplayer options, taking advantage of the PSP's Wi-Fi mode so that up to four players can fight it out on the battlefield of early medieval Japan.
Samurai Warriors was one of the early releases for the PSP system on its release in December 2004.
