No punches are pulled in this set of images FROM the GameCube’s piece of pugalist heaven by EA.
Knockout Kings 2003 is looking pretty tasty on the GameCube, with a very high level of detail on the fighers really conveying the extreme phyisical nature of boxing. With the ability to control classic fighters such as Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Roberto Duran and Sugar Ray Leonard with al the top boxers of today and the ability to create your own the straight fighting should keep you occupied for some time.
Like many of their other games this year EA are working hard to ensure that this isn't just an increase purely in terms of numbers of fighters, rings and quality of presentation. Rather they are adding some new gameplay modes, notabley an un-timed tournament mode which will be a very different dynamic from the normal fights.
From our experience of past boxing games, this probably won't be as deep as say Virtua Figher 4, but the experience is going to be impressive and quite probably a good deal of fun too.
