Sega today confirmed the Playstation2 exclusive release of The King of Route 66, a sequel to the truck racing 18-Wheeler.
Currently in development at AM2, the game is slated for release in March 2003. In the game players have to race across America in trucks, from Illinois to California.
Players must square off against the evil Tornado Corporation and their army of goons on a quest to become the King of the Road and win the hearts of the seductive Queens of Route 66.
Loaded with grizzly outlaw truckers, fully-customisable vehicles and dozens of mini-games, The King of Route 66 features a variety of mission-based gameplay styles, more than 40 colourful characters and massive, living levels complete with multiple ways to complete each objective.
