The story follows the conclusion of events in the first Killzone, with the battle against the Helghast still raging on. In Southern Vekta, the rules of war have been cast aside with the Helghast General, Metrac, employing brutal measures in order to seize the initiative. Returning as Templar, your mission is to undertake a covert operation to save hostages captured by Metrac.

UK publication reveals the third person Killzone coming to PSP...

Coming from the pages of Official PlayStation Magazine UK, the first screens of Killzone on PSP have been revealed, including its name: Killzone Liberation. One of the more surprising aspects is that Guerrilla Games, developer of Killzone Liberation, has switched the action from first-person to third person, which they say is down to the size of the PSP screen.

Once again playing the part of Ian Templar, gamers will have to face the militant Helghast in the near-future apocalyptic world. According to the article, Killzone Liberation will be released on PSP before the end of 2006; we'll have more on the title (including official details from Sony) shortly...
