Specific gameplay details on Capcom's intriguing GameCube title come to light...

In an interview granted to the respected UK gaming magazine Edge, âKiller 7â producer, Kobayashi Horiyuki, claimed that the game would feature an innovative travel system that allows your character to move around environments in a very cinematic nature. Horiyuki-san likened the technique to a racing game, with players holding on to one button that allows the main character to run in a direction. During certain points your character will stop and be given a range of different directions to take. This system and the camera are two of the most important features of the game; whilst weâd be lying if we said we understood it completely, we have to admit that itâs definitely piqued our interest and should result in a stunning looking title in motion.

Horiyuki-san went on to claim that the main goal is to locate an enemy who has the capability of changing shape by touching people; to locate these players must make use of the various sounds in the game â“ particularly the enemyâs laugh as a guide. When an enemy is located the player can trigger an all-out action sequence, allowing you to fire at will and drawing the camera into a first-person perspective.

On a disappointing note, Horiyuki-san confirmed that the game has been delayed and wonât see a Japanese release in 2003 as had originally been planned.
