Dynasty Warriors creator confirms a UK release for G1 Jockey 4 along with an innovative new peripheral...

Fans of the "gee-gees" have even more reason to celebrate the arrival of the Grand National as KOEI today confirmed the release of G1 Jockey 4, just days before the steeplechase event.

G1 Jockey 4 introduces a new controller add-on that snaps onto the thumbsticks, providing an intuitive control system that simulates the effects of reigns. Players can hold the reigns in one hand whilst using the whip with the other, or use both hands for full control.

Beginning as a rookie the G1 Jockey series can best be thought of as an RPG in the equestrian world, pitting players into a series of races and challenges to increase their skill and acclaim within the racing circuit.

G1 Jockey 4 introduces an all-new mode that allows players to breed horses and train them over the course of a year to become prize winners and bask in the glory of winning a race with a horse you reared yourself.

G1 Jockey 4 is slated for a UK release on March 31st 2006; TVG will have more on the title soon...
