Eidos' parent company SCi confirms the development of a sequel, months after Avalanche Studios...
SCi Games has today confirmed that a sequel to Just Cause is in the works, three months after the developer of the game, Avalanche Studios, announced it to a Swedish publication.
Confirmation of the sequel comes as SCi announced that its first half results for the 2006/07 fiscal year were in line with expectations, and that they expected to exceed revenues of £70 million during the six months up to December 31st 2006, up 40% on the same period last year.
The original Just Cause is also on course to surpass sales of one million units by the end of the financial year, due to end on June 30th 2007. DC Comics Superhero title, Justice League Heroes, is expected to reach that figure by the summer. The publisher also confirmed that Travellers Tales' LEGO Star Wars has sold over 5.4 million units to date, and continues to sell strongly, two years after it was first released.
SCi has also announced today that the celebratory Tomb Raider: Anniversary will be released on PlayStation2, PSP, and PC during April.
