An announcement regarding a special edition of 2000AD and some screenshots of the game to go with it…
To help mark the release of Rebellionâs impressive looking first person shooter which is coming out on PC, PlayStation2, GameCube and Xbox on September 10th there will be a Dredd packed edition of 2000AD. The magazine will cost £2.99 and can be picked up from newsagents and comic book shops, as you would imagine.
But what will be in Dredd Vs. Death Extreme Edition?
Well to start with there is the 42 page long âDead Reckoningâ by Dreddâs creator, John Wagner and artist Greg Staples, this is the first time that it has been re-printed in 2000AD. There are other stories such as âJudge Death: The True Storyâ by Wagner and artist Ian Gibson, âBehold the Beastâ which first appeared in the 1983 Judge Dredd annual, by Wagner with illustrations from the original Dredd artist, Carlos Ezquerra, then there is âTheatre of Death, by Wagner and Ron Smith.
There will also be a history on Judge Death and the other Dark Judges as well as an extract from the upcoming novel of the game Dredd Vs. Death, written by Gordon Rennie. All of these things will be wrapped up in a very impressive wraparound cover, which we bet would make a lovely poster.
Weâll tell you how this game plays when we get our hands on it, for now here are some screenshots, and we have to admit, it does look the part.
