New screens of Jak & Daxter in action fresh from LA...
Following on from the massive changes made to Jak 2, we can certainly expect more surprises in store for the third and final instalment of Jak & Daxter. Although still strictly an action/platformer, we can expect more driving, more adventuring and more puzzles to join the combat this time around.
The story starts with Jak at Wasteland where he has been banished due to his taint of the dark side in Jak 2. Vehicles are set to be even more important in Jak 3, as the locations are said to be massively increased compared to previous versions, making quick transportation crucial. The physics engine has been described as true-to-life physics engine. Whilst on your adventure you will meet old characters from previous titles and new ones. You will also encounter dangerous battles on your way from Wasteland.
Whilst Daxter had little role in the first two games, Daxter will be needed to do specific things on levels in his extended role (about time). With Jak now being able to take advantage of the âlight ecoâ he can extend his wings and fly, but by no means does this rule out âdark ecoâ. Players will also notice the extensive damage and changes to Haven City which his attacks result in; whilst fans can expect the return of the titan suit and jetboard to help Jak through the game.
