Forthcoming keynote address likely to usher in the Xbox2 and the impact of XNA...


Microsoft today confirmed that J Allard, Corporate Vice-President and Chief XNA Architect, will deliver a keynote speech at the 19th annual Game Developers Conference (GDC), taking place between March 7th-11th in San Francisco.

The keynote has been entitled âThe Future of Games: Unlocking the Opportunityâ, and is likely to focus on how new technology will push the industry forwards, or more specifically the use of XNA in the development of Xbox2 titles.

"GDC's motto has always been that the game industry starts with the game creators," said Jamil Moledina, director, Game Developers Conference. "We are honored to have a visionary like Mr. Allard share his knowledge and thoughts on the industry's future at the GDC, where the entire development community will be all ears."

Hahahahahaha I can't stop laughing. Sony released the trophy system for about a day or so and then cancelled it because they found out the expansion was causing a lot of their consoles crash so now their repair shop is full. Oh and the only game that... [ Read full comment... ]

oh and on the subject of power, POWER IS NOTHING WITHOUT GAMES THAT ACTUALLY MAKE USE OF IT. and so far only 1 game on the ps3 has(mgs4) the rest dont even try and bizarly i thought burnout was supposed to be designed for playstation yet it coulndnt ... [ Read full comment... ]

lol Not to worry Microsoft will soon finish Sony off completely. I am amazed how long it took the PS3 to get its first decent game(aka MGS4) while the xbox360 has all the RPG greatness on exclusive mode. Microsoft has some new surprises in store for ... [ Read full comment... ]

oh and one more thing about the 360's wireless controllers, once the rechargable battery packs die if anyone has ever had that, at least they dont have to buy a new controller unlike the six @sses controller the only other things the 360 doesnt have ... [ Read full comment... ]

Xbox 360 is great consul as was original Xbox both better than PS2 but now it's THE PS3 i prefer as its all rounder wiht Blu Ray and it's future proof...PS3

I own both the PS3 & 360. I must say I clock many more hours on my PS3, especially since MSG4 has come out. I also beta test Home. Its a great idea and will add some cool elements to the online space, but so far it hasn't been executed very well.... [ Read full comment... ]
