A new Formula-1 title FROM the guys who gave us the excellent Test Drive Le Mans...
Infogrames today announced the release of Grand Prix Challenge for the Playstation2 in November 2002. Backed by the Formula One Association and based on the 2002 calendar, the game is currently in development at their Melbourne House division, the team who gave us the impressive Test Drive Le Mans.
The team is claiming that theyâve recreated the 22 cars and 17 tracks to an unprecedented level of detail, including the difference between driverâs styles. A unique AI system, three different levels of handling and four levels of AI ensures that this will appeal to experienced race gamers and casual fans alike.
Grand Prix Challenge offers five distinct game modes, from Championship Mode to a variety of four player split-screen modes.
Andrew Carter, Executive Producer at Melbourne House says, âGrand Prix Challengeâs biggest strength is that it is a pure F1 game - full of personality and magic. It's a totally fantastic game that is also really great fun to play.â
Grand Prix Challenge is scheduled for release in November, weâll have more soon but until then make sure to check out the first screens.
