Inspired by Hong Kong action films, the game lets players assume the role of tough-as-nails detective Nick Kang, bent on settling a personal vendetta with the L.A. underworld. As Kang, players will be able to disperse their own personal brand of justice through automotive combat, a variety of rib-cracking martial arts moves and the business end of dual .45s. True Crime is a mission based driving action adventure game due to hit the streets mid-2003.

Activision sign Ice Cube and other leading hip-hop artists to provide tracks for its forthcoming mission-based shooter set in LA...

Activision today announced that Ice Cube and other top West Coast hip-hop artists have been signed up to write and perform tracks, for its forthcoming mission-based driver â“ True crime: Streets of LA.

This follows on from the announcement that leading Hollywood actors, including the likes of Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman and Micheal Madsen had been elisted to provide voices within the game.

We checked out True Crime: Streets of LA at E3 and came away suitably impressed, hopefully the amount spent on the games presentation will be some indication of the quality on offer from the final game.
