ICO2 - Next Year News

Whispers from Japan suggest a release next year for the sequel to a true classic...

When alleged screens from an internal SCEJ DVD were leaked from âICO 2â and an original PS2 title entitled âSirenâ prior to E3, we were left hoping that these were the real thing and not some cruel joke.

Although sales of âICOâ were criminal to say the least, those who bothered to give it a try were presented with one of the most refreshing and original titles conceived in the last few years.

The appearance of âSirenâ at the recent Playstation Experience all but confirmed the existence of âICO 2â, whilst the latest weâve heard from Japan suggests the game will be released in Japan under the title of âNICOâ in February 2004.

Weâll hopefully have more information on the title soon, but remember to check out our earlier coverage for the first âleakedâ screens.

i loved this game for the PS2.. too bad there wont be part 2 for the ps3.. i cant imagine how good it would look like with the ps3 graphics..

my whole point to that was that wander is not the boy from ICO. the ICO story took place hundreds of years later therefore it is not a prequel just a related story of the origin of the ICO religon.

Shadow of the Colossus is a prequel to Ico.
Also the ending to shadow was so sad, it wouldve been better if they'd have got the 2 lovers back together.
