Nintendo of Europe confirms the release date for Mario`s debut appearance on the baseball pitch...
Nintendo of Europe has today confirmed the release date for Mario Baseball on GameCube as November 11th. The game (the latest in a line of Mario themed sports titles that include Mario Golf and Mario Smash Tennis) sees the usual cast of Mario characters take to a series of themed baseball pitches such as Yoshiâs Park and Warioâs Palace as they battle it out for supremacy.
Skewed towards arcade gameplay, Mario Baseball features 30 characters and icons from the Mario universe with several game modes for variety. Exhibition Mode features matches for up to two players, whilst Challenge Mode offers a range of mini-games for players to play through and unlock characters and through baseball related scenarios before battling it out against Bowser. The two remaining modes (Toy Mode and Mini-Game Mode) offers a series of mini-games for up to four players.
