The PlayStation boss reveals his dissatisfaction with the current build of the PS3 social network...


In an interview with US-based 1UP, Sony Computer Entertainment chief Kaz Hirai has revealed his dissatisfaction with the current build of PlayStation 3 social networking world, Home.

The app, which has now been pushed back to Spring 2008, is the latest move by Sony to promote convergence across multiple media including games and movies. But the SCE boss isn't seeing the delay as necessarily a negative thing.

Speaking to the US site, Hirai explained: "If anything, we believe the delay would have a positive effect. I personally am not satisfied with the current version of Home. This is a very big project for the PS3 and we want to make sure that we deliver to our hearts content. We hope everyone will look forward to its spring release next year."

Regardless of when Home finally comes...well, home to PlayStation 3 in 2008 there is little to doubt the scale of Sony's take on social networking. Hopefully it'll manage to satisfy Hirai (and gamers) when it arrives next Spring.

Why do people say its ffVII sequel!!! If you read the initial story it says it has nothing to do with ffV11 and its not an RPG!! Chances are there is no big announcement and it was a big joke!!

i think it will be exclusive and iv heard about a new metal gear called Metal Gear 3: Revolver Ocelot and this was in the rumour section of the official uk ps3 magazine it also said if its true expect it also to be announce in the next month ... [ Read full comment... ]
