Embattled publisher maintains its position and suggests KuJu’s City of the Dead had quality issues in the first place...
In the wake of Hip Interactiveās closure its European subsidiary once again moved to calm fears over its future, confirming the continuation of its publishing and distribution business across Europe.
Having recently confirmed that it is seeking an alternative publisher for the game formerly known as George A. Romeroās City of the Dead, Hip Interactive Europe additionally confirmed that they had concerns over the quality of KuJuās title ā“ given recent releases such as Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction this may not have been a bad inkling!
As such Hip Interactive Europe intends to focus solely on the highest potential games, which includes the eagerly awaited Rugby Challenge 2006 and the slightly less-inspired Garfield Saving Arlene (ho-hum 1 out of 2 isnāt too bad).
Ironically Hip Interactive Europe recently won an industry accolade at the MCV Awards for Best Industry Newcomer; although itās worth bearing in mind Nokia won it during 2004, letās hope for Hipās sake itās not a sealed fate of prophecy.
