Activision announces global chart success for Doom3…
Activision has announced that the recently released Doom3 has topped retail sales charts around the world. The game was initially released in the US, and has now been at the top of the charts for the past 3 weeks. The game has also been topping the charts in France, Germany, Australia, Scandinavia, and of course the UK.
In the statement, Ron Doornink, the President and CEO of Activision Publishing said that, "The game has been critically acclaimed worldwide and we expect momentum to continue as it releases in new territories."
Just in case youāve been living underneath a Martian rock for the last four years; Doom3 is set in the future where experiments in teleportation and portal technology lead to the unleashing of Hell on Mars. As a marine doing a Tour of Duty on the Red Planet, itās up to you to fight your way through the hordes from Hades and close the portalā¦
