Haze Gets Korny News

One of the most anticipated FPS games for 2007 will feature music from Nu metal rockers Korn...
Remember the mid to late nineties? Every teenage greebo had a Korn hoodie in their wardrobe (usually from the Follow the Leader album) and the four piece band comprising of front man Jonathan Davies, guitar duo Munky and Head, Fieldy on bass and David Silveria on drums, seemed to tap into the teenage angst of the time perfectly.
Unfortunately, that teenage angst tended to uphold the demeanour that you had loads of issues, when the worst thing that had probably happened to you was your sister kicking you in the shin once. Nevertheless, it was quite an era for metal and, within the Nu metal sub-genre, Korn were pretty damn good.
According to an announcement from Ubisoft, Free Radical's upcoming FPS title Haze will draw us right back into our greasy haired teenage years by featuring a lead track by Korn specifically for Haze. It's imaginatively called Haze.
Korn lead singer Jonathan Davies said: "Gaming for me is a religion and Haze is the shit! I had to come up with a track that can hit up that kind of rush I get from the game and I think we really rocked it!" Indeed, very rock and roll Jonathan.
Christian Solomon, Vice President of Worldwide Licensing at Ubisoft, seemed more concerned with Ubisoft's new market strategies: "This partnership with Korn is original in the video game industry in that the song will be released and promoted as a full-fledged single, and not just as a download with the video game. It is a testament to the synergy possibilities between music and video games, which often share the same audience."
The game is due to have a radio and video launch in November to coincide with Haze's release. There's will also be the chance to purchase the track online.

To say Haze is disappointing is an understatement.
