Halo becomes the fastest selling next-generation title in existence.
Halo: Combat Evolved has become the fastest million-unit seller ever for any next-generation console. According to NPDFunworld, Halo: Combat Evolved recently crossed the 1 million mark in sales in the United States and Canada. Statistically, this means that more than six copies of Halo: Combat Evolved have been sold every minute of every day since its launch on Nov. 15, 2001.
âWe are thrilled that âHalo: Combat Evolvedâ has won over Xbox gamers, with sales hitting 1 million units at an amazing pace,â said Ed Fries, vice president of Xbox Game Content at Microsoft. âThereâs nothing like it anywhere else. Itâs only on Xbox. If you havenât played âHalo: Combat Evolved,â youâre missing out on the best video game experience available.â
In other Halo related news weâve heard that a new Halo announcement will be made by Bungie either this week or next, whether this is to do with Halo arriving on the PC or something else is as-of-yet unknown.
