Halo 3 will pick up where Halo 2 left off. The Master Chief is returning to Earth to finish the fight. Halo 3 Online Co-Op Pulled??? News

Reports from across the pond suggest that Bungie are having a few problems giving fans what they want...


In what's starting to sound like a whirlwind of confusion, Bungie's Frankie O' Conner has reportedly stated in the latest edition of Electronic Gaming Monthly that the studio is finding it difficult to balance online co-op gameplay in Halo 3.

Speaking to the US-based publication, O'Conner commented: "I think the biggest problem for us for online co-op is that we have a situation where you can be in a Warthog with five troops, almost a mile away from the other player. That's a significant challenge.

"And there's lots of design things you could do to prevent that from happening, but they would make it not feel like Halo any more. If we can make it happen in a way that works well, we will - and if it works badly, we won't."

This latest crumb of news contradicts reports that emerged yesterday (also purported to be in the latest issue of EGM), which speculated that the Elite Arbiter may be a second playable character in co-op.

Guess we'll just have to see what the truth is when Halo 3 arrives on Xbox 360 at the end of September.

I give multiplayer a thumbs up, was very fun for the few months I played it, but I give the single player a big thumbs down, lacked in length and overall enjoyability.
