HIP/Ubisoft Sign Deal For Rugby Challenge News

Hip Europe turns to Ubisoft to help publish and distribute their Rugby Union title...
Ubisoft has today announced that itâs signed a deal with floundering publisher Hip Europe to co-publish and distribute the Swordfish Studios title, Rugby Challenge 2006. The game, which will feature 2006 content and licensed teams from France, England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales as well as the National teams and Six Nations Championship, is the latest move by Ubisoft to build a presence in the sporting genre.
As well as playing through tournaments and leagues, the game will also feature a strong career mode as well as commentary from the BBCâs John Inverdale and former-England scrum-half, Dewi Morris.
âRugby Challenge 2006 brings sports gamers and rugby fans the most complete and intuitive Rugby simulationâ said John Parkes EMEA marketing director at Ubisoft. âNot only will Rugby Challenge 2006 offer plenty of living-room fun with realistic graphics and animations but also a wide choice of real teams and stadiums along with the new 2006 Rugby content.â
