Guitar Hero World Tour Details Leaked??? News

Leaked Guitar Hero World Tour details have surfaced including details on the guitar peripheral and band line-up...

Guitar Hero World Tour is set to offer a guitar peripheral with a touch sensitive neck slide that will allow gamers to shred how they want. Additionally, the music line-up includes tracks by The Doors and Jimi Hendrix.

That's if you believe leaked details that turned up on NeoGaf over the weekend, where World Tour's SKUs and pricing options were also revealed. It seems that the whole package of mic, drums, guitar, and game will cost a cool $179.99 (£92) for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.

The whole package for Harmonix's Rock Band currently retails at $169.99 in the US, while the equivalent set of peripherals and game cost £180 in the UK. With this in mind, it'll be interesting to see whether Activision can do a bit better than Harmonix for the price of its European bundle.

Also revealed in the supposedly leaked details was info on a few of the bands that'll contribute to World Tour's track list. These were Jimi Hendrix, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, System of a Down, Korn, Muse, Ozzy Osbourne, Interpol, and The Doors (who have been notoriously unwilling to grant licenses for their tracks in the past).

I find is suspicious that they call the Tool songs "The Undertow Tour" when none of those songs are off of their Undertow album. Would love to see some Tool, though.

all i want to know is when do we get to start ripping our own cd's and mp3's into the game instead of just playing what they want us to play. Still a good list, but why can't i choose what songs i want, when i want

I'm pretty excited for the new GH.

I just hated the dead Kennedy's songs in the older versions. It's nothing without jello's nasally voice :D

I sincerely hope that this is the real list. To all the people saying it's fake simply because Neversoft is denying it, bear this in mind- the full tracklisting for Guitar Hero 3 leaked several months before the game's release, and they denied it as ... [ Read full comment... ]

Yeah, Hotel California would be awesome - one of the best guitar solos ever! You could do it as a boss battle where you have to keep up with an Eagles guitarist during the harmonised part of the solo.
