Guitar Hero IV Tracklist Provides The Answer News

Potential tracklist revealed as UK heavy-rock and blues band confirm their appearance...

Unsurprisingly it seems Activision, Red Octane, and Neversoft will be returning to the stadiums later this year, with the first hint and early information from Guitar Hero IV.

A posting from the band's record label, Albert Productions, maintains that UK hard rock and blues band The Answer have been selected to provide the track Never too Late for Guitar Hero IV.

Further early speculation has also seen a potential tracklist emerge, though we'd treat this with a health dose of scepticism at this stage:

- Here I Go Again, Whitesnake
- Back In Black, AC/DC
- B.Y.O.B., System Of A Down
- Aerials, System Of A Down
- Money, Pink Floyd
- Little Red Corvette, Prince
- Highway Star, Deep Purple
- Island in the Sun, Weezer
- Walk This Way, Aerosmith
- Sweet Emotion, Aerosmith
- Dream On, Aerosmith
- Jaded, Aerosmith
- Voo Doo Child, Jimi Hendrix
- Walk, Pantera
- Alive, Pearl Jam
- Panama, Van Halen
- Eruption, Van Halen
- Smells Like Teen Spirit, Nirvana
- Lithium, Nirvana
- Shook Me All Night Long, AC/DC
- Hotel California, The Eagles
- Wanted Dead or Alive, Bon Jovi
- Crazy Train, Ozzy Osbourne
- Master of Puppets, Metallica
- Scar Tissue, RHCP
- Under the Bridge, RHCP
- Californication, RHCP
- In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, Iron Butterfly
- Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin

Certainly the appearance of several Aerosmith tracks supports an interview from Billboard last year that suggested the Boston band is working closely with Activision on a Guitar Hero game.

"I don't know much about the technical part of it," the band's guitarist Joe Perry says, "but artistically we're working hand in hand."

Thankfully, early suggestions that the game will be based solely around Aerosmith appear to be slightly off the mark.

I think it's rather weird / sucky that they would put more than one song from each artist on there. Give us more variety!

it disappoints me that no led zeppelin songs have been confirmed for gh4. they were the top band of the 1970's. Stairway holds the title for greatest guitar solo in music history
