Activision confirms a late November release date for Neversoft's first stab at the rocking franchise...


Whilst gamers in Europe will have to wait until the New Year before joining a Rock Band, they won't be left without a gig or two before Christmas as Activision has today confirmed the release date for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

Featuring the likes of Slash and Tom Morello as boss encounters, and music from Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, The Sex Pistols, and Guns N Roses, Legends of Rock will be the first instalment in the series to launch simultaneously across multiple platforms when it arrives in Europe on November 23rd.

"This is the biggest Guitar Hero release yet," says Zach Fountain, General Manager, RedOctane Europe. "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is the first time the franchise has released simultaneously across multiple formats, so we're delighted to be able to confirm a single street date for all home consoles. The game introduces a host of innovations on each format - no matter what your console of choice, November 23rd will be the day your world gets well and truly rocked."

Guitar Hero III is the first instalment developed by Neversoft following the acquisition of Harmonix by MTV Games earlier in 2007.
