Guild Wars Passes 3 Million News

Wintersday Festival celebrates the West's second most successful MMO...
As tales of failed MMOs continue to outnumber the number of successes, NCsoft today celebrated sales of the Guild Wars franchise passing the 3 million mark since its launch barely 18 months ago.
"We are pleased to have reached the three million mark so swiftly," commented Geoff Heath, CEO, NCsoft Europe. "The Guild Wars games have captured the imagination of players from across the globe and we are delighted by ArenaNet's accomplishment."
Additionally, ArenaNet and NCsoft confirmed plans to introduce extra features during the holiday season as part of the in-game Wintersday Festival, taking place from December 20th through to January 2nd 2007. Guild Wars fans will find outposts decorated with holiday décor, themed quests, PvP snowball fights and unique rewards.
Further new features set for inclusion during the winter period include a new 'Party Search' panel and a 'Reconnect after Disconnect' feature, allowing players to form groups more easily and jump straight back into the action after connection issues.
