NCSoft confirms an end of April release for ArenaNet's follow-up campaign...
NCSoft has today announced that Guild Wars: Factions, the new campaign in the Guild Wars MMO franchise, will be released globally on April 28th 2006. Set in the land of Cantha, far south of the original game's continent of Tyria, Guild Wars: Factions introduces two new professions (the Assassin and the Ritualist) together with new gameplay features exclusive to the campaign.
In addition, European gamers will also be able to buy a Collector's Edition of the game, which will feature a range of bonuses including an art book, the soundtrack to the game by Jeremy Soule, a desk calendar, and a mouse mat.
"Guild Wars Factions is an exceptional game that invites players to immerse themselves in a truly epic adventure unlike any they have seen," says Patrick Wyatt, a co-founder of ArenaNet. "The four new mission types create a unique experience that will engage both the role-playing and competitive gamer in cooperative conquest of territories and strategic battles. Set against the landscapes of the visually stunning, Asian-themed continent of Cantha, and with two new characters to choose from - Assassin and Ritualist - Guild Wars Factions will redefine the online RPG experience."
