Guerrilla Confirms Killzone Liberation News

The PSP title is formally unveiled by Guerrilla; set for release in the fourth quarter of 2006...
Guerrilla Games has today confirmed Killzone Liberation for PSP with a release date in the fourth quarter 2006. Continuing the events at the end of the first Killzone title, Liberation sees gamers fight against top Helghast General Metrac in a bid to free prisoners held in the region of Southern Vekta. Guerrilla also confirmed that the game will be in the third person, with the view that it's a better perspective for a handheld title.
Hermen Hulst, Guerrilla Managing Director, commented "We were keen to ensure Killzone: Liberation was totally unique and offered PSP owners a different Killzone experience. So, Killzone: Liberation has been developed from scratch - creating what we think is an intense portable gaming experience. Although Killzone: Liberation is totally new it stays true to what made the first Killzone such a great success - the characters, weapons, style and a continuation of the same great plot."
