God of War, a mythological action-adventure on Playstation 2 just in time for Troy...
From the creators of Twisted Black comes God of War; an all-new action-adventure set in the dark world of Greek Mythology as players take the role of a vicious warrior called Kratos.
Kratos is an ex-Spartan soldier possessed by Ares, the God of War. Over time, he becomes the most vicious warrior in Ancient Greece to a point where he can't bare it anymore and sets out on a journey to kill Ares. However, the only way to destroy Ares is to find Pandora's Box, which is located in a temple that's perched upon a hill and guarded by traps, puzzles, enemies, etc. The story is told as a flashback of three weeks prior to where the opening movie starts and then sets the stage for the game...
God of War features an impressive combat system, which allows combat to be taken from the ground to the air effortlessly, whilst using a variety of context-sensitive moves that allow you to perform varying attacks based on the situation.
In addition players can expect to get their hands on a few nifty magical tricks, such as using Medusaâs head to freeze people and chuck one of Zeusâ thunderbolts at whoever they fancy.
Ami Blaire, Director of Product Marketing commented, "GOD OF WAR doesn't pretend to play nice. It's a game that will appeal to both hard-core and casual gamers by delivering adrenaline-packed action combat set in the world of Greek mythology. Not only is it visually stunning and engaging, but it provides a dramatic storyline with unique raw combat melee spliced with extreme artistic environments that will help drive the action-adventure category, while showcasing the power of PlayStation 2."
We at TVG are looking forward to this title and will bring you more information on the game soon.
