Word on the gaming grapevine is that GoW 2 will be revealed at this year's Game Developers Conference...


Rumours are bouncing around the internet that Gears of War 2 may be unveiled at this year's Game Developers Conference, which is due to be held between the 18th and 22nd of February in San Francisco.

Previous speculation has suggested a 2008 release for the sequel to Epic's unreal shooter, which is now a flagship Xbox 360 franchise given its phenomenal success both commercially, and on Xbox Live.

There have even been rumblings that Epic has a GoW trilogy scheduled for the next few years, with the aim of a third instalment for Marcus Fenix in 2010.

lol i hope the guys in that lab in scotland share tere discovery with microsoft, so much for blu-ray if these guys can make a 160gb ipod hold 8x as much info (= 1280gb so a dvd9 would hold 72gb thats 22gb more than a double layer blu-ray disk) oh and... [ Read full comment... ]

yeah, the whole trilogy could fit on one disc. But you have to use 20GB of install prob. cuz load times on BLu-ray are the equivalent of a 1998 CD-ROM
