Comments to a German magazine suggest that Microsoft are still keen to acquire Nintendo…
Itâs no secret that Microsoft have long been admirers of Nintendo, and that the Seattle giant has made efforts in the past to âacquireâ the Japanese games publisher.
Today an interview featured within the German WirtschaftsWoche Magazine, featuring an interview with Bill Gates, highlighted that Microsoft are not going to give up on the opportunity; with Gates claiming âif Hiroshi Yamauchi calls me, Iâll pick up straightaway.â
Naturally the comment was made as an off-the-collar response, a light-hearted quip and a sign of the respect that Microsoft bestow upon Nintendo â“ however as weâve seen in the past, anything can happen in this industry.
Of more interest to us would be the actual conversation between Gates and Yamauchi-san â“ oh to be a fly on the wall for that one.
