Eidos confirm a GameCube port of the phenomenally selling Hitman 2: Silent Assassin + First Screens...
Eidos today confirmed a Gamecube version of its hit multi-platform release, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. Since its release at the beginning of October, Hitman 2 has gone on to sell over 1 million copies across the Playstation2, Xbox and PC, infamously knocking Super Mario Sunshine off the All-Format Top Spot after only one week.
Mike McGarvey, ceo of Eidos says: âGameCube owners worldwide are crying out for more mature content and Hitman 2: Silent Assassin fits the bill perfectly. The game has taken the world by storm and we are confident that this success will be repeated on the GameCube platform.â
Janos Flösser, managing director of IO Interactive says: âWith an installed base of millions, there is a massive potential audience for a game like Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. We are very impressed with the GameCube and feel that Hitman 2 and the Cube is a perfect match.â
Hitman 2: silent Assasin is scheduled for release in Spring 2003 on the GameCube.
