Details of a new driving 'simulator' in the hit Gran Turismo series emerge; however don't get too excited!!!

Details of a new Gran Turismo title hit the net today; however unless youāre thinking of a career in race driving itās unlikely youāll get to play it.

Developed in joint collaboration between Polyphony Digital and Volkswagen; the new title has only one car and will be used to train professional drivers for the Volkswagen Lupo Gti, which is held in Japan.

Development of GT4 has aided in the developing of this title, which has prompted numerous publications to wrongly speculate that it is based on the GT4 engine. Itās known that the game takes racing a lot more seriously, requiring a lot of skill just to get off a start and prevent yourself from careering off the track when taking a corner!

Itās believed that the training simulator contains a variety of techniques to capture track data, which race drivers can use to improve their racing techniques and hopefully apply this to the real event.

Thankfully Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed at the event that he expects Gran Turismo 4 to release in Japan before the end of the year; backing up claims that the game will finally be unveiled to the world at E3.
