GTA heading to Xbox in return for PS2 exclusive deal on the next GTA title...
Comments made from Jeff Lapin, CEO Take-Two, over the weekend shed some light on the GTA series and its exclusive deal with Sony.
It appears that the āGTA: Double Packā bundle heading to both the Xbox and Playstation2 was a result of an amended deal between Sony and Take-Two, as such the next title in the series (widely believed to be GTA: San Andreas) will be exclusive again to the Playstation2 for a set amount of time, with other versions to follow if they are deemed financially viable.
Lapin also confirmed that Take-Two currently have no plans to bring the franchise to the GameCube or GameBoy Advance, however this could change in the future although we certainly wouldnāt count on it.
This naturally leads on to the questions as to where GTA4 will find a home; by now both Sony and Microsoft realise the value of the franchise and weād certainly place bets on both of them offering huge deals to blag an exclusive deal for that title.
