GT5: Prologue Getting Damage + GT: Mobile News

Polyphony Digital reveal that damage is impending, but GT: Mobile won't arrive until next year...

Speaking to CVG, Polyphony Digital's Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed that car damage will be just one of the new features heading to GT5: Prologue later in the year.

The suggestion of vehicle damage appearing in GT5 had gone slightly quiet in recent months, suggesting that perhaps it would be shelved once again until the next title in the series. Today's comments however suggest that we'll be seeing it sooner then we expected, by the Autumn in fact. Further functionality offered by the update will also see the introduction of stronger community features to enhance the online aspects of the game.

Sharing equal billing is the revelation that the mythical GT: Mobile is still in development, although it's unlikely to surface until 2009 (at the earliest). With the suggestion that the game will be an extension of GT5 and not a separate title, it seems as though even Yamauchi-san doesn't have too much of a clue about the title at present.

First off, this game is well made. After playing it once, I was very disappointed with the results. they start by giving you $35,000 to purchase a car. I purchased the Mazda and was happy with it. But it is not fast enough to win a race, the turning ... [ Read full comment... ]

This game has great graphics, but is extremely boring and tedious to play. What a waste of £24.99. Need for Speed Carbon doesn't have graphics equal to this game, but at least it isn't boring and repetitive. My overall rating for this game is:... [ Read full comment... ]

I think the graphics of this game are really amazing. However, when it comes to playability I think it is complete bull sugar ! Probably the crappest driving game I've ever played.

This is slow slow & boring the cars are beautiful & the graphics a absoloutly fantastic, but what's the point in all this is you can't build your money to drive the beautiful cars, because you start of with the slowest car available.....
