GT4 - New Info News

Not exactly new, but rather a reminder of what we can expect to see in GT4...

New details on the eagerly awaited Gran Turismo 4 filtered through today. Speaking to the Japanese Press, Yamauchi-san confirmed various aspects and features that will make it into the final game.

As we noted in our First Look at the title during last months E3, Gran Turismo will contain a staggering 500 different cars for players to purchase and over 50 different tracks to race across, ranging from the likes of the Grand Canyon to downtown New York.

The stunning levels of detail found on every vehicle has been crafted from over 4000 polygons per car, whilst Polyphony Digital are claiming that all parts of the car can be twinked and tuned to your own choosing.

Polyphony Digital went on to talk about the new AI engine powering the competitors in GT4; however if you remember from our E3 report, we were a little concerned by the lack of any real noticeable changes, though Polyphony Digital were keen to stress that they were still working on that aspect during E3.
