The strong relationship between Atari and Namco Bandai is continuing later in the year with the European release of Dragon Ball Origins, an action adventure title heading exclusively to the Nintendo DS.

Dialling back the events of past titles, Origins focuses on Goku's original hunt for the seven Dragon Balls, with players controlling the entire adventure with the DS' touch screen. Using a series of taps and lines made on the screen to perform Goku's signature moves like the Kamehameha, the hunt is on for the dragon balls, as the protagonist gets a helping hand from his sidekick Bulma.

In addition to the campaign, Origins will also include wireless trading functionality, enabling gamers to swap the many hidden figurines spread out across the game world.

Dragon Ball Origins is scheduled to hit Europe in December.
