Take to the pitch as Mario Strikers Charged (the follow up to Mario Smash Football) returns with a new roster of features for Wii. Use the skill the Wii Remote and Nunchuk Controller provide to win the ball, score unstoppable goals and take control of the goal keeper to perform spectacular saves. Mario is joined by other famous Nintendo characters who take on the role of captain. Players then select a host of popular teammates to make up the rest of the team.

Mario Strikers Charged is confirmed for Wii; online multiplayer announced...


Nintendo has today announced development on Mario Strikers Charged (working title) for Wii.

The game, a follow-up to the 2005 GameCube title Mario Smash Football, will continue in the same vein as its predecessor with the plumbers (and a few of their friends) competing in what Nintendo describes as "Fighting Football". Mario Strikers Charged will utilise the functionality of both the Wii-mote and nunchuk so players can win the ball, and the game.

In addition, Mario Strikers Charged will also include online multiplayer support via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Nintendo is yet to announce a release period for Mario Strikers Charged; we'll have more news shortly...

This game is boring and more of the same, nice nostalgia with the turtles and stuff but i have zero noltasgia for nintendo now.

No. Mario strikers Charged is not out in the States. it is TBA but definately in 2007. it is however, the greatest game so far on the wii (apart from zelda, red steel and madden 08) and i would personally rate it a 9.5 out of 10.
