By Chris Leyton on 12/06/2003 It's time for Shenmue fans to shout, as Yu Suzuki confirms that Ryo Hazuki's future lies in the balence...
Yu Suzuki has given an interview to the Official Japanese Shenmue Community, in which the famed developer has talked about the continuation of the Shenmue series.<br><br>Suzuki-san claimed that Sega have yet to give official permission to develop the third and widely believed to be last title in the legendary series, and it’s claimed that a number of senior sources oppose continuing the series which has cost Sega a fortune.<br><br>However not wanting to give up easily, Suzuki-san hopes that the interest of Shenmue fans will convince those in charge to greenlight the project and hopefully conclude a videogame classic.<br><br>In short, whilst AM2 are hopeful of a third title and being able to conclude the series, the future of Shenmue III still hangs very much in the balance.<br><br>We’ll keep a very close eye on the situation…<br>

Shenmue 3 will never happen - as much as it pains me to say, it's a chapter that we SEGA fans need to leave behind - Ryo will never have his revenge against Lan Di.

Man I cant wait for Shenmue 3. I used to play shenmue 1 when I was in Middle School (jr high). It was awesome back then, just replayed the game (now im 21) and it is still awewsome. Shenmue 2 rocked and if Shenmue 3 doesn't come out I am going to come after Yu Suzuki misery style.

i love story line games and shenmue has got to be one of the best! i will live without number 3, i fink its sad to say u wud sue if it dnt tvg rules! out coz u spoil any chance of it coming out lets just chill and hope we kick lan di's ass. Ryos dad rocked revenge time!!!

i can relate to everyone here as ive completed both senarios and would love to see a third story of shenmue 3 coming out as its the best rpg game in the world that i have ever played.

good news im wont sue sega shenmue3 will be out on 31/03/09 on xbox360 only and will come with high def remakes of shenmue 1+2 now for sigh of relief

shenmue is not coming out for a while now it was said to be realese either early 0 or late 09
