The story begins as an unidentified paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in special forces, but loses contact as an eerie signal interrupts radio communications. When the interference subsides moments later, the team has been obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart before they can even react.

Xbox 360 port currently in the hands of the MechAssult creators...


Vivendi Games today released further details on the Xbox 360 port of the underperforming PC shooter, F.E.A.R. Confirming that the title is currently in development at Day 1 Studios in collaboration with the game's creator, Monolith Games, it's unknown whether the developer's recent split with the publisher over the franchise is behind the change or not.

Vivendi promises all-new single-player content along with additional multiplayer content "to fully utilise Xbox Live"; expect a closer look from E3.

What a brief, not-in-depth review. The gameplay and multiplayer are barely even mentioned, really -- you just focus on how the graphics are slightly out of date. And what about the story? This is a high-profile title that deserves a more through look... [ Read full comment... ]
