Reports suggest that the developer is expanding with a new studio spin-off from Backbone...
An amalgamation of several development studios including The Creative and Backbone, Foundation 9 is set continue its expansion with a seventh studio, according to reports on BusinessWeek Online. Taking the Backbone brand name, the new studio will be Backbone Charlotteville on Prince Edward Island, Canada, and is expected to opens its doors in March 2006.
Partly funded by a Canadian government corporation known as techPEI in order to develop the smallest eastern province, the article comments that up to 20 people are expect to work at the studio by the end of 2006.
