News from China begins to emerge that the first batch of PS3 consoles have left manufacturing...


Two Chinese publications are reporting that the first batch of PlayStation3 units have already left their manufacturing plants.

The reports, in the Apple Daily and the Commercial Times (by way of English-language Chinese tech site, DigiTimes Systems), claim that component manufacturer Asus Tek began to ship PlayStation3 units at the start of July.

Neither Asus Tek or Sony are commenting on the reports, but what is interesting is that DigiTimes note that the first launch consignment could be four million - double the amount estimated by Sony earlier in the year.

very cool as in dead and yes sony admitted the new firmware can potentially kill a ps3 if the download leaps from 50% to 100% instead of ie 51%52%53% ect

try telling that to any american that downloaded firmware update 2.40 and screwed up there ps3 oh but firmware updates make the ps3 cool

i wouldnt even take 360 if given free.coz i wud buuy all the game and it wud break from over heating.so its useless until u are idiot to buy 360 after its constant breaking and lack of good games.

actually its a post to do with ps3 (no specific subject) so why even bring the 360 into it.
there is a page for the 360 and for the wii, why cant people go multi format.
