New information regarding both the experience and weapons skills systems...
Square has released new information regarding the Experience Points system to feature in Final Fantasy XI. The system differs from previous titles, if you play solo the experience points are based on your current level. The higher your level the fewer experience points youâll receive. If you play in a team the experience points are based on the character with the highest level in your team, and are then distributed evenly among the team members. In other words you want a good balance between the team members, as if you have one high level character youâll receive fewer experience points.
The game will also have a Weapon Skills system, where different weapons have their own special attacks, such as Double Blade for sword. Weapon Skills require the use of your TP energy, a gauge that youâll find under the HP and MP gauges.
