Japanese rumours suggest that Cloud will be making a reappearance in a Devil May Cry spin-off…
The rumours of a new title based on âFinal Fantasy VIIâ have long persisted, with the announcement of âAdvent Childrenâ cruelly dashing any dreams of a directors cut or remake.
However recent comments from Japan today suggest that the forthcoming DVD movie wonât be the only release within the FFVII universe. If rumours are led to be believed, then Square-Enix are currently developing a title featuring Cloud in the main role; however the rumour claims that the game wonât be another RPG, but yet another invention on the Final Fantasy franchise, with gameplay close to the likes of âDevil May Cryâ.
Weâre not entirely convinced as of yet, however itâs certainly true that Square-Enix are trying to branch out the Final Fantasy series; so hold tight for now and weâll bring you further details when we get them.
