Nintendo bundle free link cables with the forthcoming release of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle…
Probably realising that people who have access to a GameCube, a sufficient number of GameBoy Advance and link-up cables is limited to say the least, Nintendo today announced a limited time offer for the forthcoming release of âFinal Fantasy: Crystal Chroniclesâ.
In an attempt to kick-start the failed GBA-GC connectivity, Nintendo has confirmed that a limited number of copies of the game will ship with a free link-up cable.
Better known as Gauntlet with a decent magic system, âFinal Fantasy: Crystal Chronicleâ requires up to four players to use GameBoy Advance units as special controllers â“ itâs a nice idea, but sadly failed to ignite any real interest when released in Japan so chances of success in Europe are slim to say the least. During the game, players must travel together in a band. The only thing protecting you and your friends from the poison gas is a magic crystal that generates a small force field around you all. Should any member of the group leave the protected circle, they'll be fully exposed to the hazardous fumes â“ hence the game operates on a single screen, whilst the GBA is used to control the character and provide important information.
Sadly we donât think this will generate any significant rush for the game when itâs released on March 11th, Nintendo would probably have to give away free GameCube and GameBoy Advance units with the game in order to do that.
Weâll have more on âFinal Fantasy: Crystal Chronicleâ soon.
