Famed Japanese developer announces the formation of a new studio, focussing on the development of next-gen RPGs…
Hironobu Sakaguchi may not be a well-known name outside of Japan; however his creative genius has been behind many of Squareās most popular titles dating throughout the entire Final Fantasy series and many other Square titles.
Sadly the failure of Final Fantasy: Spirits Within damaged his reputation and took him away from the limelight; the latest issue of Famitsu today reveals his plans to start up a new development company.
Myst Walker will be set-up to solely concentrate on the development of RPG titles for next-generation systems, leaving the publishing duties for established companies.
Sadly the report fails to state what formats Sakaguchi and his team will target, although he does state his intention to work with leading members from Square-Enix.
