Calvin Records announces that its highest profile artist Fear Factory will provide two tracks for new Rainbow Six...

With three weeks to go until Ding and the rest of the team return in Ubisoftâs Rainbow Six: Lockdown, Liquid 8 imprint Calvin Records has today announced that high profile artist fear Factory will be provide two tracks for the forthcoming game. Along with a remix of the gameâs theme tune, Fear Factory will also be featuring their hit song âLockdownâ â“ coincidence, or not?

Fear Factory drummer Raymond Herrera said that, âThe relationship between music and other media can no longer be deniedâ¦In todayâs technology- driven marketplace it just makes sense to align ourselves with projects like Rainbow Six. The way we see it, all the lines will soon be blurred when it comes to entertainment and we arenât afraid to embrace it.â

But Rainbow Six: Lockdown wonât be the only game that the band will be working on this year as the forthcoming PSP title Infected will be released with a remix of the track Demanufacture. Confirming the growing relationship between the company and the videogame industry, Mike Catain CEO and owner of Calvin Records said, ââWeâd be foolish to ignore the opportunities that exist between music and other forms of media,â he says. âAs an innovative company that has built its reputation on âthinking outside the boxâ, forging relationships with video games and other outlets is just another way for us to enhance our brand identity and garner more exposure for our artists.â

Rainbow Six: Lockdown will be released on September 9th 2005 on Xbox, PlayStation2, GameCube, and PC â“ weâll have more on the title shortlyâ¦
