Far Cry 2 Slated For Autumn News

Having been pushed into a vague fiscal 2008/09 release window, Far Cry 2 is now set for this autumn...
Currently in development at the publisher's Montreal outfit, Ubisoft has today announced that Far Cry 2 is set for an autumn 2008 release on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
Having originally been pencilled in for a spring release this year, the title was then pushed into a vague fiscal 2008/09 release window by the publisher when it revealed the console versions back in January. News of this Fall release period was made by Ubi to CVG.
It's fingers crossed for no further delays then, as Far Cry 2 truly is an epic undertaking from Ubisoft Montreal. From what we can gather of the PC version so far, it's an open-world FPS with stunning visuals that are bound to push cutting-edge PC hardware to the limits, so let's hope that it can deliver much of the same on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions as well.
