Bethesda confirms that the Xbox 360, PS3, PC RPG will be arriving during the autumn next year...
Bethesda Softworks has today confirmed that Fallout 3 will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and PC during Fall 2008. The open-ended RPG is being developed with the Gamebryo engine, which Bethesda used to create 2006's Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Confirmation of the 2008 autumn release period comes as Bethesda Softworks releases a teaser trailer for the title, the first instalment in the franchise since the developer picked up the brand from Interplay. Several pieces of concept art for Fallout 3 have been released in the past few weeks, hinting at what the apocalyptic RPG has in store for fans of the series in just over a year's time.
Liam Neeson has recently been confirmed as voicing the protagonist's father in the game, with hints from the teaser that Ron Perlman may be returning to the franchise - though his role is yet to be announced by Bethesda Softworks.
